Dominic Scott OBE
Dominic Scott has recently stood down from the post of Chief Executive of the UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA) which he had held since 2004. UKCISA has every university in the UK and number of colleges as members and is of course best known for its expertise in student visas and fees issues but also encourages and helps to enable the highest standards of professional support to international student throughout the sector. He has been on the Home Office’s Education Sector Forum, the UCAS International Committee, the Outward Mobility advisory board, the Commonwealth Scholarships and Fellowships Support Group, and was the Chair of the British Accreditation Council.
Prior to his post at UKCISA he held a number of senior positions with the British Council serving large parts of his career overseas, in Norway, Egypt and India, following which he was awarded an OBE for UK/India links in education. He has therefore had an interest in international education and international students for many years, extensive contacts in the sector and often speaks, chairs or contributes to related conferences in the UK and internationally.
