Board Nominations
The AASAP/UK Board of Directors is seeking nominations for the new board, which will convene after our Annual Conference on November 6, 2026. The Treasurer role and three Director positions are up for election, so it’s an exciting time to become involved with the Board and AASAP UK! We are also welcoming interest for non-voting observer positions, which will be appointed following the AGM. Nominations are due on October 2, 2026 by 5pm. In order to be nominated for the Treasurer and Director roles, or register interest for an NVO position, you must submit your name, institution, current title, and a bio to info@aasapuk.org. There is additional information on the positions available below.
If you have questions about the open positions and nomination process, you can speak with members of the current board at a virtual info session on Tuesday, September 29 from 1pm-2pm. AASAP/UK Board Info Session

Treasurer (3 year term)
Responsible for:
- Attending monthly board meetings
- Maintaining the accounts for AASAP/UK
- Paying invoices and processing reimbursements
- Ensuring a balanced budget, including recommendations for spending approval
- Producing monthly reports for the Board of Directors, and an annual report for membership
- Assisting with and leading on events, subcommittees, and other tasks as determined by the Board of Directors
Director (1 year term, 3 positions available)
Responsible for:
- Attending monthly board meetings
- Assisting with and leading on events, subcommittees, and other tasks as determined by the Board of Directors
- All Directors should expect to spend between 3-6 hours per month on AASAP/UK business, with more hours required during events or other peak periods. Some positions may require more time than others, depending on the responsibilities of that position.
Non-Voting Observers
NVOs play a crucial role in helping the Board of Directors plan and action important events and other services for our membership throughout the year. This position is ideal for early-career colleagues who want to learn more about AASAP/UK, network with others in the field, and be more involved. NVOs are expected to attend monthly board meetings. They are also expected to join at least one subcommittee, or plan at least one member event during the year. NVOs should expect to spend between 3-6 hours per month on AASAP/UK-related activities.
Annual Conference Registration
Registration for the AASAP/UK Annual Conference will open on 28 September. We will send out an email with the registration link on the 28th so stay tuned.
